Friends, we are back with our second installment of our favorite things. Us girls have got to stick together when it comes to our must-haves-won’t-leave-the-house-without-them favorites!  Millie and Rebecca will be sharing and in case you missed Marian and Blake’s favorite things last week, be sure to check it out here!

My position with Redeemed Girl Ministries requires me to travel a great deal. I absolutely love it, but I’ve come to realize that I am not a minimalist packer…it’s just not how I roll. However, because many of our Redeemed Girl trips are quick over night stays, I’ve learned the fine art of fitting all my essentials into a carry-on bag.

Inside my tightly packed carry-on are a few essentials that I believe every Redeemed Girl must have… so my top three favorite things fall under the category of “travel necessities.”

Downy Wrinkle Releaser

This little gem comes in a travel size bottle and for this wrinkle free queen (yes, I was the girl who ironed her jeans in high school) – it’s become quite the trusty companion! I’ve introduced all of my girlfriends to the “spray, wipe, spray, hang”. Yes, in just four easy steps you can take any wrinkled garment and make it slick as silk.

Ivory Liquid Soap

I’m here to say that “shout wipes” are out and Ivory liquid soap is in! I worked at a bridal shop in high school and if you’ve ever wondered what most bridal boutiques use to spot clean a wedding dress – – – well – you guessed it – Ivory liquid soap. If I could create its own personal tag line, it would be “Tough on your dirtiest dish, yet gentle enough on your most prized garment.” I keep a travel size bottle in my suitcase for treating stains on the go.

Mary Kay Cosmetic Bag

What girl isn’t looking for a great make up brush set complete with its own compact cosmetic bag? This little black wonder will change your make-up world. Mary Kay created this travel size make up bag – spacious enough to hold all your brushes, blushes, and beauty products. Think of it as the trapper-keeper for beauty tools… this little number rolls up in one trusty clutch size holder.

I’m so grateful for the inventors of Dimrs — otherwise knows as “Breast Friends” (not kidding)!

I don’t know what you’ve learned to refer to this natural physiological response as — but here are a number of options I’ve heard: headlights; high beams; party hats. The reality is, females get them and I think we need to be mindful of the necessity to actually hide them! As I have had roles in my life when I am in front of an audience, I’ve felt it of utmost importance to not allow this “condition” to be an embarassing distraction. Many years ago, I stumbled upon these little beauties — “Breast Friends” are an amazing invention! Let me make this clear — these are the BEST ones you can get — there are many imitations that are temporary — these are made of silicone and are reusable for YEARS. I’ve found that they give me peace of mind because I don’t have to worry about what shirt I wear or if it’s going to be cold…Order yours now – these should be required for all females.

MAC Pro Longwear Lipcolour

Okay, I have an addiction. Lipstick. Anyone who knows me well knows that I apply lipstick about 1000 times a day. UNTIL my fearless friend and leader, Marian, introduced me to a most amazing product: Mac Pro Longwear Lipcolour! I’ve tried so many long-wearing lipsticks with glosses and they are usually terrible because they dry your lips and then the gloss makes everything stick to them including your hair and particles floating around in the atmosphere. Not anymore! This dual product has an amazing lip colour and fantastic gloss. WARNING: from user experience, Marian made sure I knew not to have anything else on my lips or this product wouldn’t work. It’s true. Don’t know why – it just is. But it’s worth it – you can drink from a cup or glass and I’m not even kidding – it does not leave a mark. This is a game-changer, people.

Do y’all have any favorites that you can’t live without? If so, we’d love to hear about them!
