Prayers for Afghanistan
Afghanistan is a humanitarian crisis, and we are called to intercede for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We believe that prayer moves mountains and God works miracles when we unite to seek Him.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. EPHESIANS 3:20-21
Pray for the Church.
Please pray for our brothers and sisters in who are facing unimaginable persecution. Pray for their protection, for their faith to stand strong, for wisdom, and supernatural peace. Pray for God to work miracles in their midst.
Pray for the women.
Women under Taliban rule face the most risk. Pray for them to be protected from harm and find paths to freedom. Pray for the mothers who are caring for children in this crisis.
Pray for the sick.
Pray for the Lord’s healing and restoration to be upon all those who are ill. Covid-19 cases are spiking in the country and hospitals are limited in what they can offer Taliban government. Pray that the healthcare system will not collapse. Pray for miraculous healings where Jesus alone is glorified.
Pray for the hungry.
Pray for relief organizations on the group. Pray for the hungry to be fed. Pray for the Lord’s miracles to be real in their lives.
Pray for the displaced.
Many families are in refugee camps or fleeing their homes.Pray for the Lord to grant them His protection, wisdom, shelter, and provision.
A Prayer for Missionaries
Pray for their protection and for the Holy Spirit to minister mightily through them at this time.
A Prayer for the Taliban
Pray for hearts to soften. Pray for the Taliban leaders to repent and trust in Jesus.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5:43-44)
