The Foundry’s annual Joy Gathering is set for Tuesday, September 11 at the Jones Road Campus. Each year they bring in a guest speaker to talk to the women in the congregation and community about a Christian topic that is important to them. This year, Marian Jordan Ellis will be speaking.

There is nothing quite like the stinging disappointment that comes from a misplaced hope. Whether that hope was placed in a person, a position, or a promise…when we our hopes are crushed, the pain is real. Marian Jordan Ellis knows firsthand this type of disappointment but has learned the joy and contentment that comes from being a woman who hopes in God. Her message, WOMEN WHO HOPE IN GOD is based on Psalm 33. Marian will teach how women are tempted to place hope in fickle things such as beauty, people, money or success and will challenge women to put their hope in the Lord as the solid foundation for their lives.
