New Teaching: Discovering the Power of the Holy Spirit

I believe one of the greatest misunderstandings about the Christian life centers around the Holy Spirit. Some think of the Spirit as a mere force or power, while others are nervous to talk about the one whom Jesus called our “Friend” and “Helper.” The truth is that the Holy Spirit is God, the third person on the Trinity, who communicates, empowers, and equips us to live a life that glorifies Jesus. Throughout the Bible, the Holy Spirit is referred to as the Breath of God. This name encapsulates both the Spirit’s supernatural power and divine purpose. The Holy Spirit brings life and fills us with the power of God.

This year Redeemed Girl continues our study called “The Beautiful Name,” where we dive into scripture to uncover the Names of God. This month, we explore the Breath of God, a name for the Holy Spirit found throughout Scripture and discover how the gift of the Spirit is the fulfillment of both Old Testament prophecy and Jesus’ promises to His disciples.
